Students may select a minor that consists of courses in one discipline or subject area (see Undergraduate Minor Requirements Reports in the General Catalog) or they may develop a thematic minor with courses from two or more disciplines/subject areas. Thematic minors are created around a central, unifying theme. See the Undergraduate Minors policy in the General Catalog for the minimum number of units required.
Your major advisor must approve the Thematic Minor and then place the agreed upon courses in UAccess so it will show on your Advisement Report. Directions and policies regarding a Thematic Minor are on the Thematic Minor Form (pdf).
For more information about creating your thematic minor or the approval process contact your major advisor.
