CatCard (University Identification Card)

The CatCard is the official University of Arizona identification card. All students, faculty, and staff affiliated with the University need to carry the CatCard for identification as well as access to campus facilities and services.

The cost for all CatCards is $25.00. This fee is billed directly to your student account.

In addition to your digitized picture and signature, your CatCard has a magnetic stripe and embedded SmartChip. The magnetic stripe is used to access many University services including the Library, Meal Plan and Campus Recreation facilities. Additionally, you will need to swipe your CatCard for entrance to computer labs and other campus buildings. The SmartChip can be used for making purchases at campus locations that accept chip transactions for payment, such as library copiers, printers, vending machines and residence hall laundry facilities. Visit the CatCard Web site to learn about additional optional services.

To obtain a CatCard you must have attended an orientation session or be registered for at least one class. When applying for the CatCard, you must present a government or state issued photo ID such as a driver's license, passport, etc.
