Other Registration Related InformationAdministrative Drops: At the discretion of your instructor, you may be dropped from your class if you are absent. Verify your current registration through Student Link. If you do not attend or stop attending a class, DO NOT assume you will be administratively dropped; drop the course yourself. See the Class Attendance and Administrative Drop policy in the General Catalog. Audit Grade: If all your classes will be Audit only and you are not a continuing student, you must complete a non-degree seeking application and be admitted through the appropriate Admissions Office. You cannot register for audit courses using WebReg. Registration for audit must be done on a Change of Schedule form.
Fees for auditing courses are the same as for credit courses. Fees must be paid immediately. To avoid late payment fees, students should prepay for audit courses. See the Audit policy in the General Catalog for complete details. Course Cancellation Policy: The University reserves the right to cancel courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements. The minimum enrollment requirement is dependent upon the course level. Courses Beginning In The Middle Of The Semester: If the course is not available for registration during regular WebReg access times, contact the offering department. First Year Colloquium: This special series of courses designed for first-year U of A students introduces students early in their college experience to interests related to or remote from their projected majors. First Year Colloquia are designed also to help students decide on an academic major and career by learning about what professionals in specific fields do, and how they do it. First Year Colloquia provide a wonderful opportunity for students to develop continuing, mentoring relationships with faculty members. The colloquia are taught in small group sessions of no more than twenty students. See the First Year Colloquium course offerings in the Schedule of Classes. Incompletes: You have one year to complete course requirements for which you have received a grade of "I" (incomplete). Failure to do so will result in a grade of "E" being awarded. Make arrangements with your instructor for completion of coursework; do not register for the course again. Maximum Study Load: Undergraduates in good standing may register for 19 units of credit per semester. Exceptions to the 19 units of credit maximum must be approved in writing by your college Dean indicating the total number of units approved on a Change of Schedule form. Pass/Fail Option:
If a class section is available for the pass/fail grade option, the note
"Available: Pass/Fail" will appear in
the Schedule of Classes next to the Units: field. In general, courses taken under the pass/fail
option may not be used to satisfy degree requirements in a major. Qualified students may
register for pass/fail if they meet certain criteria. Freshman students are not
eligible to register for courses under the Pass/Fail option. See the Pass/Fail policy in the General Catalog
for details. Prerequisites: Numerous courses have prerequisites. The General Catalog course descriptions list the existence of prerequisites. If the prerequisites are not met, your registration for that course may be canceled without notice by your instructor or college dean's office. WebReg does not check to see if you have met prerequisites. Recreation Activity Classes: The Department of Campus Recreation's activity classes (previously EXSS courses 101-199) provide participants with education and practice in a variety of recreational activities. Recreation Activity Classes are not offered for credit. For more information, please visit Department of Campus Recreation or call (520) 626-3396. Undergraduate Enrollment in Graduate Courses -- on Curriculum and Registration site Variable-Unit Courses: WebReg will prompt you through the procedure for adding a course for variable units. |
