Degree Certification Procedures for Undergraduate Students at UA South
You should apply for degree candidacy through the UA South Student Academic Support (SAS) Office during your next-to-last semester. A $35 fee will be charged to your Bursar's Office account. A degree audit packet will be created for you, and you will be contacted for a degree check appointment in the SAS Office.
Following this appointment, your major advisor at UA South will review your coursework and make any adjustments necessary to your SAPR (Student Academic Progress Report). The Degree Check Adjustment Form is then signed by the Dean of the College and sent to Carol Carpenter, your Graduation Services Advisor, on the main campus for an initial audit. Carol processes degrees for programs unique to UA South (e.g., BAS programs, BS with a Commerce major). Students with degree programs offered by main campus colleges may identify their Graduation Services Advisor from this list.
After your final grades come in, your Graduation Services Advisor will do a final audit of your records. If you fail to complete your degree requirements, you will be mailed notification.
Feel free to contact your Graduation Services Advisor if you have any questions about your degree audit.
HONORS PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS:
1) File for graduation candidacy with your major advisor at UA south.
2) Your major advisor with review remaining requirements for your degree with you.
3) The paperwork for degree candidacy will be mailed to the Honors College at UA main.
4) The Honors College advisor will then sign the paperwork and forward it to Carol Carpenter, who will conduct the file audit of the degree requirements.
