Degree Certification Procedures for Students in the College of Nursing
Carmen Themar in the College of Nursing, Room 112, will email you during your final semester to come to her office to complete the Application for Bachelor’s Degree Candidacy. Students must indicate on the form whether they are ROTC or Honors College participants. The applications will then be forwarded to Carol W. Carpenter in Graduation Services, who will bill the $35 candidacy fee to your Bursar account.
During the final semester, a degree audit packet, including a Student Academic Progress Report (SAPR), will be sent by Carol to Vickie Radoye, in College of Nursing, Room 112, for signature and approval for graduation, pending your successful completion of all requirements for degree.
After grades are posted, a final audit of your record will be completed by Carol to ensure that all requirements for the degree have been completed. The college will contact you if there is any problem that would prevent the degree from being posted by Graduation Services.
Once the degree has been awarded, Carol will order a diploma if there are no pertinent Bursar’s Office hold flags. Students are notified of any hold flags by mail. By the last day of class, please check StudentLink to make sure your address is current.
HONORS PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS:
Vickie Radoye will receive a list of Honors degree candidates from the Honors College during your final semester. Participating students will then be notified by Vickie Radoye to pick up their Senior Degree Check Adjustment Form. The student will then arrange to meet with an advisor in the Honors College to have them review and approve your status, and sign the form, which you will then return to Vickie Radoye.
