Degree Certification Procedures for Undergraduate Students in the College of HumanitiesYou should apply for graduation with your Graduation Services Advisor, Noris Montalvan. Print out your SAPR (Student Academic Progress Report) from Student Link and bring it to Noris before you register for your final semester. She will ask you to complete an application for degree candidacy, charge $35 to your Bursar's account, and briefly review the SAPR with you. You will be given an adjustment sheet to take to your major advisor. Take your adjustment sheet and SAPR to your major advisor(s). If you are in the 1998 or later catalog, you may also need to see a minor advisor (if adjustments are needed in your minor). For students following 1997 or earlier catalogs, your major advisor can make major and minor adjustments. Once your advisor has signed your adjustment sheet, take it and the SAPR to the College of Humanities (CoH) Academic Advising Center, Modern Languages 345J (you will need to make an appointment). The CoH advisor will go over your general education course work and sign the adjustment sheet for the Dean of your college. The CoH advisor will then forward your adjustment sheet to your Graduation Services Advisor. A final audit of your records is then done by Noris to ensure that you have completed all requirements for your degree. Any questions that arise are directed to the appropriate major, minor, or CoH advisor. If they are not able to answer the question, either they or your Graduation Services Advisor will contact you. Feel free to contact Noris Montalvan if you have any questions about your degree audit. |
